Il festival Danza Urbana di Bologna, alcune considerazioni

by Paolo Ruffini - Liminateatri, September 2024

Mirada is a multimedia performance whose vocation is to suggest to the audience new ways of contemplating the presence of a body in space, proposing an ultra-dynamic point of view: extremely distant from the performer, extremely close to a technology that amplifies his presence. How can we experience digital proximity in physical space? How can technology amplify the perception of a landscape without mortifying it?

Mirada is the gaze on the infinite and at the same time the imperfect eye, the magnified detail.

Mirada is proposed as a collective exercise for an omniscient and enhanced vision, which experiments in simultaneity a double pleasure: that of proximity and of going into detail and that which arises from the comfort of distance, from the feeling of control over an event and the panorama that welcomes it.

Going beyond a postcard vision, the landscape is that frame in which it is possible to rethink the perception of time and distance and the action of bodies and elements in them.

Through a game of screens and perspectives, the spectator chooses the way of perceiving the work. In this way the position of the performer and the audience is in absolute horizontality.
